Ways We Serve

Church School

St. David's proudly offers Church School to any child preschool through 7th grade. All children are welcome to join us. Class begins at 9:45 every Sunday except Easter Sunday from September through May. Classes end around 10:40, so that children can join their family for the end of service and receive communion.
Register Online

Our nursery is available for children age 4 and under during our 10 am Sunday Service. Barb Bracco, LPN, and Rachel Fenton are always on hand to take care of the little ones that squirm too much during the 10:00 worship service. Barb has been an LPN for over 30 years and is CPR certified. Little ones are welcome anytime and as a parent, you are welcome also.
Respite Care

If you care for a family member with memory impairment, let us give you a break and offer your loved one supervised social interaction, fun activities, music therapy, exercise and lunch. The program offers FREE respite for caregivers of family members with early stage memory impairment, which affords the caregiver an opportunity to have a little time for self and their loved one to have time of socialization with others.
Adopt a Classroom

Sadly, the City of Buffalo is one of the poorest cities in the nation, with more than 50% of children living in poverty. Each school year, St. David's adopts an inner-city classroom to collect school supplies for. At Christmastime, we put up a "Giving Tree" with names of the children in the classroom. Parishioners can choose a name from the tree and then purchase a Christmas gift which we them personally deliver "from Santa". We also proudly support "Project Warmth" which knits hats and gloves for the children.
Eucharistic Visitors

The ministry of the Eucharistic Visitor is to provide the sacrament to those who are hospitalized, home-bound, and in nursing homes. This is an extension of our Communion, as a portion of bread and wine which is blessed each Sunday is reserved to take to those who cannot be with us in worship.

We perform several blessings throughout the year, including a backpack blessing at back-to-school time in September and a yearly pet blessing. When the time approaches, we'll post these events on our Calendar.
Confirmation Classes

Confirmation preparation class for youth over age 14. The Bishop will confirm prepared members age 16+ when he next visits.
Meeting Space for Community Organizations

St. David's is happy to offer it's undercroft as an affordable meeting space for several community organizations, including AA, GA, Girl Scout Daisies and the Southtowns Association of Widowed People. For more information on how to schedule the space for your organization, please contact us.
