Ways We Serve

Seasonal Ministries: Pantry Collection, Socktober, Souper Bowl

Springtime St. David's collects those always needed items at the Food Pantry, including canned soups, breakfast cereal, jarred pasta sauces; penne and macaroni. October is Socktober at St. David's, as we collect new socks, underwear, and cold-weather accessories throughout the month to benefit local agencies serving the homeless and needy in our region. We've now added blankets to the items collected. The month of February Souper Bowl is celebrated, as we collect canned soups for the West Seneca Community Food Pantry.
Liturgical Ministry

St. David's has several liturgical ministries which support the worshipping community here.  Lectors and Lay Eucharistic Ministers serve as readers and Communion servers, usually on a rotation.  The Eucharistic Visitor brings the sacrament to those who are hospitalized, home-bound, and in nursing homes.  Altar Guild prepares our worship space using seasonal hangings and arranging decorations and flowers for feast days. They also see that communion vessels, bread and wine are ready for our Holy Eucharist services.
Meeting Space for Community Organizations

Office Supply Recycling

St. David's has a long history of recycling ministries that has kept paper, ink cartridges, bottles and cans out of our landfills.  Presently we accept used ink cartridges from office or home printers for recycling. Our outdoor used clothing bins for Hearts for the Homeless have been temporarily suspended. Due to increased amount of garbage being dumped on the property, we are permanently ending paper recycling at outdoor bins.  Thank you for your cooperation!
