West Seneca Community Food Pantry

West Seneca Community Food Pantry

The Pantry is operated under the direction of Debbie Dalessandro and her dedicated staff of volunteers. It offers free food to qualified West Seneca residents, including people who attend West Seneca schools and churches.

The West Seneca Community Food Pantry is an independent organization, operating on St. David’s property. The Pantry was offered the use of St. David’s Parish House in 2009 when it was looking for a new home. In 2012 the Pantry expanded with an addition to the Parish House which also provided wheelchair accessibility. The addition was funded with contributions from individuals and local churches and businesses. A number of volunteers provided valuable assistance in the construction.

The Pantry is supported by community donations, grants from New York State, the Oishei Foundation, the Evans Devereux Foundation and purchases from the Food Bank. Food products are also provided from churches, civic organizations, businesses and school children’s food drives.

Operating hours have been recently updated to include every Tuesday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm; the second Saturday each month 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and by appointment for food emergencies.  Additional information about eligibility or donating can be obtained by calling the Food Pantry phone number, (716) 574-4411.
